An homage to trade signs of days past. This one-of-a-kind hand-painted sign marked "Madame larchitecte" (sic)- Madam Architect, was found in Morocco. Such signs often advertised professional trades and practices, and in some parts, business owners still hang them outside their place of work. The Naïf style (and sometimes, naïf spelling of the translated trade) has persisted in the face of digitally-produced, aesthetically homogeneous signage that has become commonplace for anyone within a stone's throw from a computer.
